VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIAL CHOCOLATE
Cooking time: 30-40 minutes Serves: 10-15
INGREDIENTS:
- Dark Chocolate (125 gm)
- Milk Chocolate (125 gm)
- White Chocolate (125 gm)
Toppings :
- Mixed Fruit Jam
- Peanut Butter
- Cashew Nuts
- Almonds
- Mango Papad (Aam Satta - optional)
- Caramel
- Chocolate Chips
- Chocolate Sprinklers
- Colorful Sprinklers
- Strawberries
Silicon Moulds for making chocolate
METHOD:
- In a double boiler melt the dark chocolate and milk chocolate together.
- Take the mould.
- Add a spoonful of chocolate in the mould for making a basic chocolate.
- Fill half of the mould with melted chocolate and add a cashew in between.Cover it with melted chocolate.
- Fill half of the mould with melted chocolate and add an almond in between.Cover it with melted chocolate.
- Fill half of the mould with melted chocolate and add 3-4 cubes of aa papad in between. Cover it with melted chocolate.
- Fill half of the mould with melted chocolate and add caramel in between. Cover it with melted chocolate.
- Add chocolate / colorful sprinklers to the mould and then fill it with melted chocolate.
- Fill half of the mould with melted chocolate and add jam in between. Cover it with melted chocolate.
- Similarly, fill half of the mould with melted chocolate and add peanut butter in between. Cover it with melted chocolate.
- In this way, add other toppings like chocolate chips, small cubes of fruits, nuts etc.
- In some moulds fill only half with the melted dark and milk chocolate.
- Next, tap the moulds and place them in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
- In a double boiler melt the white chocolate.
- Similarly, fill the moulds with white chocolate and add your favorite toppings.
- In the half filled moulds, add the melted white chocolate and again refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
- Take strawberries and coat it with melted chocolate but only half way and refrigerate.
- After all the chocolates are properly set, carefully take them out of the moulds and place them in a colorful container and gift it to your loved ones.
NOTE:
- A double boiler is a set of two fitted saucepans that are stacked together with space in between them.The bottom pan is filled with water, then the second pan is stacked on top. The steam from the bottom pan rises and heats the upper pot.
- Add toppings according to your wish. There is no restriction.Go wild with your imagination.
- Work fast while filling the moulds as chocolates solidify very fast.In case it solidifies melt it again.
- Double boiler is the safest way of melting chocolate.However don't overdo this process as chocolate can burn.
