Peanut butter and jelly sandwich

PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY PUFFS

Cooking Time: 10 minutes                                                                   Serves: 4




INGREDIENTS:
  1. Bread slices
  2. Peanut butter
  3. Jam ( any Jam you prefer!! I use Mixed fruit jam ) 
  4. Milk
  5. Flour
  6. Sugar
  7. Salt
  8. Vanilla Essence
  9. Baking soda
  10. Refined Oil 


METHOD:
  1. Take a slice of bread. On one side of it spread a generous amount of peanut butter. 
  2. Next, add jam on another slice of bread and sandwich it with the peanut butter bread. Your Peanut butter and Jam sandwich is ready.
  3. In a mixing bowl add 1 cup of refined flour. To this add 2 tablespoons of sugar, pinch of salt and baking soda. Add milk and make a batter making sure the batter is not toot thin. It should properly coat the bread. Next add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix the batter thoroughly.
  4. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
  5. Take a sandwich, dip it in the batter and place it in the oil for frying. 
  6. Fry on each side until golden brown. 
  7. Serve the hot peanut butter and jam puffs with some cold ice cream. 



NOTE:
  1. Please don't compromise on the amount of peanut butter and jam. The taste of the dish comes from these two. So be generous.
  2. While making the batter make sure its not too thin. It should properly coat the sandwiches. 
  3. Don't over fry the sandwiches.
  4. Serve with cold ice cream.
