Mango Lassi Recipe

MANGO LASSI / MANGO YOGURT SMOOTHIE 

Cooking time: 5 minutes                                                                             Serves:4 




INGREDIENTS:
  1. Yogurt/Curd/Dahi 
  2. Chopped ripe Mangoes 
  3. Sugar
  4. Ice Cubes 


METHOD:
  1. In a blender add 1 cup of yogurt (300 gm). 
  2. To this add 1 cup of chopped mangoes (3 big mangoes chopped).
  3. Add sugar as per your taste. 
  4. Finally add ice cubes.
  5. Blend everything for about a minute until it is smooth and there is no chunk of mango.
  6. Garnish with chopped mangoes and mint. Serve chilled. Bon Appetite!! 


NOTE:
  1. Homemade yogurt is preferable over store bought ones. Full fat yogurt is best to make lassi. However low fat yogurt can also be used.
  2. It is best to use ripe mangoes which is soft to touch as it blends easily and gives a smooth consistency with yogurt. 
  3. Add sugar if required. If the mangoes are really sweet sugar can be avoided. For a much healthier alternative honey can be used.
  4. If the consistency becomes too thick little chilled milk or water can be added. 
  5. The drink is best served chilled.
