How to make Cloud Eggs

Hello Guys!! Hope you all are doing well. Since you are in this blog I can very well assume that you are a foodie. And if you really are a foodie I am sure you must have come across a food called Cloud Eggs that is flooding all over the social media feeds especially Instagram. Wonder what cloud eggs are? It's a fashionable form of poached eggs. Yes you heard it right. They are visually very attractive and perfect for breakfast and brunch. So let's see how it can be prepared.

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Eggs (2)
  2. Salt
  3. Black pepper powder 
  4. Red chili flakes
  5. Chopped parsley


METHOD:
  1. Separate the egg yolk from the egg white.
  2. Beat the egg whites using a hand blender or stand mixer until it attains a stiff peak consistency.
  3. At this stage season with some salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer this fluffy egg white mixture on a baking tray which is lined with some parchment paper. Distribute this mixture to form 2 cloud eggs.
  5. Using the back of the spoon create a well in the center of the egg white.
  6. Bake them at 220°C for 8 minutes.
  7. Take them out and place the egg yolk in the center (inside the well).
  8. Bake again at 220°C for 3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with some red chili flakes and chopped parsley. Enjoy on your breakfast or brunch!! 


NOTES:
  1. This recipe is a fashionable form of poached eggs and are visually very appealing. However it tastes quite similar to poached eggs and requires quite some hassle. But we can still give it a try for a Sunday brunch!!
  2. Separate the yolk and white properly. Make sure the egg whites has no trace of yolk.
  3. Beat the white until it reaches stiff peaks. Don't over beat it.
  4. Serve immediately else the egg white may deflate.
