MAGGI PAKODA
Cooking Time: 10 minutes Serves:4INGREDIENTS:
- Instant Noodles (Maggi, Ramen etc with the taste-maker)
- Grated cabbage
- Chopped carrots
- Chopped green bell peppers
- Chopped onion
- Chopped coriander leaves
- Chopped green chilies
- Gram flour (Besan)
- Semolina (Suji)
- Salt
- Red chili powder
- Oil
METHOD:
- Boil instant noodles (maggi-2 packets) for 2.5 minutes until 80% cooked.
- In a bowl add grated cabbage, chopped carrots, chopped capsicum, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves and chopped green chilies. Add salt as per taste, red chili powder, taste maker. To this add 1/4th cup semolina, 1/2 cup gram flour and mix properly until a lumpy dough is produced. Water released from the vegetables will be soaked by gram flour to make a lumpy dough.
- To this add the boiled noodles and mix.
- Make small flat fritters from this mixture and deep fry in oil until golden brown on both the sides.
- Serve the hot pakora with tea or coffee.
NOTES:
- Don't overcook the noodles. Make sure its 80-85% cooked.
- Use vegetables as per your preference.
- Semolina adds a crunchy texture to the pakora.
- Fry on medium flame.
