Maggi Pakoda | Maggi Fritters Recipe

MAGGI PAKODA
Cooking Time: 10 minutes                                                                               Serves:4




INGREDIENTS:
  1. Instant Noodles (Maggi, Ramen etc with the taste-maker)
  2. Grated cabbage
  3. Chopped carrots
  4. Chopped green bell peppers
  5. Chopped onion
  6. Chopped coriander leaves
  7. Chopped green chilies
  8. Gram flour (Besan)
  9. Semolina (Suji)
  10. Salt
  11. Red chili powder
  12. Oil


METHOD:
  1. Boil instant noodles (maggi-2 packets) for 2.5 minutes until 80% cooked.
  2. In a bowl add grated cabbage, chopped carrots, chopped capsicum, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves and chopped green chilies. Add salt as per taste, red chili powder, taste maker. To this add 1/4th cup semolina, 1/2 cup gram flour and mix properly until a lumpy dough is produced. Water released from the vegetables will be soaked by gram flour to make a lumpy dough.
  3. To this add the boiled noodles and mix. 
  4. Make small flat fritters from this mixture and deep fry in oil until golden brown on both the sides. 
  5. Serve the hot pakora with tea or coffee. 


NOTES:

  1. Don't overcook the noodles. Make sure its 80-85% cooked.
  2. Use vegetables as per your preference. 
  3. Semolina adds a crunchy texture to the pakora.
  4. Fry on medium flame.
